Recently
Joe Deedy's Auto Detailing and other community members participated
in a fundraising event to benefit the Twin Towers Orphan Fund
(TTOF). They raised $6,200 for the cause. This fund is 100 percent
volunteer-supported which ensures 100 percent of the funds donated
are used exclusively for the benefit of children who lost parents
during the tragedy of September 11, 2001.
Conservatively speaking, it is estimated that approximately 3,000
children lost one or both parents on September 11. While the Twin
Towers Orphan Fund is a needs-based organization, any child that
lost a parent can be eligible for benefits. While TTOF cannot
heal the pain these children have experienced, we can help to
restore a sense of normalcy to their lives. They can help their
guardians care for them in these difficult times. They can help
them to see a better tomorrow.
